Using UV light, some of these plates or sheets of Selenite crystals show an "hourglass" pattern. They also can be phosphorescent, which means once you take away the UV light, they continue to glow for a few seconds before fading away. ✨
Many times, you will see "Selenite" as long fibrous sticks. Due to different trade names, what most of us know as Selenite, is actually Satin Spar. Because of it being so well known as Selenite, us sellers, tend to still call Satin Spar, Selenite. 😬
